Cool, can’t wait for the reissue, picked up the cassette on ebay for $6.50 a few years ago, still have both their lps on vinyl and weoh weoh weoh single. Learnt to play the drums off this album.

Loved this band and finally have the album on mp3. I got it from my brother who lives in Thailand. I saw the Boys once along time ago at the Nookanbarrah I think. I used to go see The Jackals on a weekly basis at the Cave in North Freo. What band were you in Dennis? Wasn’t Armchair Theatre was it? Ahh the memories. Fantastic music out of Perth back then and now.

Unbelievable to find this web page. I have previously done searches on the boys without luck. found my 45 of this song the other day, but sadly don’t have a record player at the moment. This song and the album defined my life from the ages of 16 to 25. Had a scratchy cassette of the album until it died and would LOVE to get my hands on it again. Can’t wait until you have reissued it powerpop. Kudos to you!
this is an all-time aussie classic song and album.

the album is a classic, but wot about the b side to the singles, it dosen;t matter, comin home, cold mind, all gr8 songs that could of been singles…….. lastly the tuning and warming up b 4 gigs woz a show in itself. joe d

I have his number but you can find him on Myspace.. just do a search on there and send him a message. Jackals where a great band and yes Paul is a great writer. Boys CD re-issue still in the works and almost done.. it’s a big job.

He sure did. I also played with Paul McCarthy in a band, Cut n Run / Low dogs, we used to play at the Old Melbourne , City Hotel , Kambalda Hotel , Shenton Park.

The jackals were awesome, I have an album of theirs “Lucy’s falling backwards”, and some postcards for their album ” Pheal “.

What a rockin’ band they were. Used to support them at the Cave Bar in Freo….
