Do you remember Marie? Her son James found this site for us, he is my son's best friend, they are both 16. I feel utterly devastated, George was so very kind, and what bravery, I lost one of my two closest friends in May(Marie is the other friend). I have been thinking of all you guys recently, probably as my family(husband and son) have a band, my husband is he drummer and my son is the guitarist, our son is an autism survivor, and his musical gift is astounding, I had mentioned Connor(my son) to George and he was so encouraging, it is too sad!!! Neil, would it be possible to have a copy of the eulogy? My email address is pittswest@iinet.net.au. Les, Ian and I [from Chalice], flew to Sydney for his funeral and I had the honour of delivering the eulogy. He'll be sorely missed and he was truly one of a kind. R.I.P. This post is the most informative thing (actually the only thing) I've seen online about the band. "Ebenezer" is a really good track as well, kind of boogie/powerpop with a little slide guitar thrown in. We had 4 guys pretending to play brass with us, to equal the Doobies line up, due to Union rules. It was a huge gig and we got Jon English to stand up and acknowledge the crowd - he'd just produced "Overflow' and was in the audience - and this was one of the biggest shows we ever played. Saw Chalice many times at the Sunday session in pubs, kids were allowed there, and at various other gigs in and around Perth, WA. They were a great band and great muscians.
