Hey man i’m really interested in finding out more about what the early 80′s and late 70′s power pop scene was like in Australia. This blog is sick! also would be interested in buying records, that you could part with.
Would like if possible if you have old photos of Loaded Dice, The numbers, Labradogs, old flyers or any interviews from fanzines, if there were fanzines???
You’ve come to the right place.. I’m about to release 2 australian power pop CDs with tons of rare music and I’m writing a book about it as well. I also have some records for sale… probably ebay them but not sure yet. All the spare photo’s of loaded dice are going in the book but I may let you have something hehe.
That’s awesome that you’re doing a book on Aussie powerpop, there’s just too much great stuff that’s gone to be forgotten. I’d be really keen on those cd’s are you gonna send any to missinglink records or off the hip records?
Would you be interested in checking out a power pop fanzine i just finished? It’s called Mild not Meek.
The types of records i’m after is stuff like the Rubinoos, i have the hurts too much re issue and one 7″ them, 20/20 and any blue ash, i got front page news and have all the raspberry lp’s. Only got Shoes black vinyl shoes, so any of their other records are sought after.
email me your mailing address and i’ll send you some. I’ve just been mailing them to friends and put some in record stores in Melbourne. IF you have a list of stuff you’re selling send in the email. Got to have pop!
Send them to my mates box for safety. Kelvin Craig PO BOX 1496 Fremantle WA 6959 cheers. Yea I’m selling all my power pop that I’ve collected over the last 20 years or more.. probably the best collection in Australia.. I might sell it as a job lot maybe not.. not sure.
